GHK-Cu is a tiny natural peptide that carries copper, and it’s one of the most studied compounds in skin and wound-repair research. It was first found in human blood back in 1973.

GHK is a string of just three amino acids — glycine, histidine and lysine — that naturally binds to copper, which is where the “Cu” comes from. That copper is the important part: it’s a cofactor for many of the enzymes the body uses to rebuild skin and tissue.

It was discovered in 1973 by biochemist Loren Pickart, who isolated it from human plasma while studying how the body repairs itself. The amount of GHK in the body falls as we age, which is part of why it became such a focus for skin and regeneration research.

In the lab, GHK-Cu is studied mostly for its effect on collagen and tissue remodelling. Even at very low concentrations it has been shown to stimulate collagen production in skin cells, which is why it appears so often in skin, hair and wound-healing research.

All three are studied for repair, but they work in different places. Side by side, it’s easy to see where GHK-Cu fits.

BPC-157 and TB-500 focus on tissue recovery inside the body. GHK-Cu is the skin-and-collagen specialist of the group — and the only one of the three that carries copper, which is central to how it works.

Collagen and skin. The headline area. GHK-Cu is studied for how it drives collagen production and remodels the skin’s support structure — in one human comparison it outperformed both vitamin C and retinoic acid for collagen increase.

Wound and tissue repair. Because copper supports the enzymes involved in healing, GHK-Cu is widely studied for tissue remodelling and wound repair.

Hair and follicles. A growing body of research looks at GHK-Cu’s effect on hair follicles and the scalp, which is why it shows up so often in hair-research contexts.

Buying GHK-Cu from overseas means customs delays, long transit and temperature swings that can quietly degrade a peptide before it arrives. Sourcing locally removes all three.

GHK-Cu arrives as a freeze-dried (lyophilised) powder in a sealed sterile vial. Before any research use it needs mixing with bacteriostatic water. Standard lab handling applies.

Add the water slowly down the inside wall of the vial — not straight onto the powder — then swirl gently until it dissolves. Don’t shake. The solution should look clear.

Keep the sealed vial cool, dry and out of direct light before mixing. Once mixed, store it in the fridge at 2–8°C, which matters in Thailand’s heat. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. Sealed vials keep for up to 24 months when stored properly.

Is GHK-Cu legal to buy in Thailand?

Bangkok Peptides supplies GHK-Cu as a research peptide for laboratory use only. It is not sold as, and must not be used as, a cosmetic, medicine or supplement. Researchers confirm this at checkout.

What vial strengths are available?

GHK-Cu is supplied in 50mg vials. Stock can vary — check the product page for live availability.

Why does GHK-Cu contain copper?

The peptide naturally binds a copper ion, and that copper is central to how it works — it’s a cofactor for many of the enzymes involved in skin and tissue repair. The copper-bound form is the one used in most of the research.

How quickly will my order arrive in Bangkok?

Orders placed in Bangkok usually qualify for same-day or next-working-day dispatch, arriving within 1–2 days. Same-day collection may be possible — contact us first to confirm.

What does HPLC/MS purity testing mean?

HPLC and MS are two lab methods that confirm how pure a peptide is and that it’s genuinely the compound it claims to be. Our batches are verified to ≥99% purity, with selected batches also tested independently by Janoshik Analytical.

Can I see the Janoshik report before buying?

Janoshik reports are published on the product page, showing the batch, identity confirmation and purity. If the report you need isn’t up yet, contact us and we’ll confirm the batch status before dispatch.

How should I store it in Thailand’s climate?

Keep the sealed vial cool, dry and out of light before mixing. Once mixed, store it in the fridge at 2–8°C — important in Thailand’s heat — and avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.

Is GHK-Cu approved for human use?

GHK-Cu appears in some topical cosmetic products, but Bangkok Peptides supplies it strictly as a research-grade peptide for laboratory use only — not as a cosmetic, supplement or medicine.
